MiniMax

MiniMax models.

Overview

MiniMax has two kinds of key: a pay-as-you-go API key and a Token Plan subscription key. Use the one that matches how you pay.

Go to platform.minimax.io, choose Console, sign up and add a payment method.

Open Account → API Keys (the menu wording has changed over time) and create a pay-as-you-go key. For a subscription, the key is under Billing → Token Plan.

Name it and copy the key. It is shown once.

Cost. If key creation is greyed out, you may need to finish identity verification or top up first.

Open Loom, then Providers in the menu, and choose Add provider.

Pick MiniMax (the search box finds it).

Fill in the fields in the table below.

Choose Connect. Loom checks the key and says how many models it found. If it cannot check, it says so, and you can Save anyway and try a message.

Open the model chip below the message box and pick a model.

Loom uses the international address, https://api.minimax.io/v1. Keys from the China platform work only on that platform’s own address, so copy it from MiniMax’s docs into Endpoint.
